THE SOUND OF SUPER POWERS
Music for percussion trio, Borealis Festival (2018)
Commissioned piece for PINQUINS percussion trio, premiered at the Borealis Festival 2018.
The piece builds on the immanent super powers of the three Pinquins members, and the idea that the material world as we know it is built on the four elements, that in turn is created by a first primordial element, that, naturally, is sound. With sound as a super power the piece is built up by repeated phrases and structures, for marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, tom toms, metal and voice.
